SSC CGL 2025 - Exam Postponed

The SSC CGL Tier I Exam 2025 was postponed by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and an official notice has been released on 8 August 2025 stating that the Tier I Exam for Combined Graduate Level Exam 2025 will not be held from 13 August 2025. A new exam date for the SSC CGL Tier I Exam 2025 has been announced in this official notice by the SSC.

The SSC Schedule will be released shortly by the Staff Selection Commission and will be released shortly.

Is the SSC CGL Exam Postponed?

The SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2025 Official Notification PDF was officially released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on its website for the recruitment of 14,582 CGL vacancies in 2025. SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam is conducted by the SSC to fill up various Group B and Group C level posts in various union ministries, departments, government organisations and various constitutional bodies, statutory bodies and tribunals, etc.

The Tier I exam schedule of the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2025 was tentatively announced to be held from 13 August 2025 to 30 August 2025.Over 28 lakh candidates across India have applied for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2025 this year and were eagerly awaiting their SSC CGL Tier I Admit Cards.

Due to the ongoing controversies that stemmed during the SSC Selection Post Phase XIII Exam 2025 for the technical factors, glitches and disruptions due to operational reasons, the SSC CGL Exam 2025 has been postponed.

The Staff Selection Commission has officially released an important notice regarding SSC Exams in 2025. The SSC CGL Exam 2025 scheduled to be conducted from 13 August 2025 to 30 August 2025 according to the SSC Exam Calendar 2025 PDF has now been postponed officially.

The SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2025 Tier I has been postponed to be held during the first week of September 2025. SSC has also announced that the revised SSC CGL Exam Schedule 2025 for the combined graduate level selection process and all other SSC exams to be conducted in 2025 will soon be posted on the SSC website.

SSC OTR Edit Application Window 2025

It has been announced by the SSC in its official notice that the SSC OTR portal will open for the candidates to edit their online application process from 14 August 2025 until 31 August 2025. Candidates will be permitted once again to edit their online application for future application purposes for SSC Exams.

Candidates who wish to edit any field in their One time registration (OTR) are advised by the Staff Selection Commission to make changes during the said period. It has also been announced that the applications for subsequent SSC Exams will start from September 2025 and the candidates will not be permitted to edit their OTR after the above mentioned edit OTR window.

SSC CGL Exam Date 2025 (New)

As announced in the SSC CGL Exam Official Notification PDF 2025 and the SSC Revised Exam Calendar 2025 PDF, the SSC Combined Graduate Level Tier I Exam 2025 was supposed to be held tentatively from 13 August 2025 to 30 August 2025. Candidates who were nervously awaiting official confirmation from the Staff Selection Commission due to recent student protests that gained national attention due to the sudden cancellation of the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 Exam 2025 can now breathe a sigh of relief.

The new SSC CGL Tier I Exam Dates have been announced with the important notice in the SSC website. The SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2025 Tier I will be held from the first week of September 2025. The official dates for the SSC CGL Exam 2025 will be announced shortly.

The SSC CGL City Intimation Slip will also be released around 7 to 8 days before the exam date with the exam city details for the candidates. The SSC CGL Tier I Admit Card 2025 will be officially released during the last week of August 2025 at www.ssc.gov.in.

Why SSC CGL Postponed?

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in its recent official notice released on 8 August 2025 has officially acknowledged that there were disruptions that happened to several candidates during the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 Exam that were held starting from 24 July 2025.

SSC has recently resorted to the implementation of the reforms administered by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and has shifted to a revised model of conducting Computer Based Exams for the SSC Selection Process in 2025 starting with the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 Exam 2025. More than 5.5 lakh candidates have appeared for the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 CBE Exam 2025.

Unfortunately during the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 Exam 2025, many candidates faced disruptions owing to technical factors and operational reasons as mentioned by the SSC in its official notice. The Computer Based Exam for the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 Exam 2025 was rescheduled for certain candidates.

SSC has analysed the logs pertaining to the disruptions caused during the SSC Selection Post Exam in 2025 held till 2 August 2025. 55,000 candidates who have written the SSC Selection Post 2025 have been identified by the SSC and it has decided to offer these candidates another opportunity to take their test on 29 August 2025 (Friday).
