SSC Stenographer Exam 2025: Selection Process

The selection process for the SSC Stenographer Exam 2025 includes two levels: Computer Based Exam and Skill Test in Stenography.

This computer-based exam will consist of 200 objective MCQ questions conducted for a total of 200 marks for a duration of 120 minutes (160 minutes for PwBD candidates). This Computer Based Exam consists of 3 subjects namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Computer Based Exam of the SSC Stenographer Exam 2025.

This Computer Based Exam will be conducted only in English and Hindi and will use normalised scores to select candidates.

Candidates shortlisted in the SSC Stenographer Computer Based Exam 2025 will be required to appear in the SSC Stenographer Skill Test 2025. Selected candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (As opted by the candidates in their SSC Stenographer Exam Online Application Form 2025) at the speed of 100 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade D.

SSC Stenographer Exam 2025: Computer Based Exam Pattern

The SSC Stenographer Exam 2025 will be a computer-based exam (CBE). It consists of 3 sections. The three sections are General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English language & Comprehension.

The total duration of the Computer-Based Exam for the SSC Stenographer Exam 2025 will be 120 minutes. Candidates have to answer 200 questions within a time frame of 120 minutes. The total marks of the SSC Stenographer Computer Based Exam will be 200 marks. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

The SSC Stenographer Exam 2025 Application Fee will be ₹ 100 that is to be paid using online mode only.
