The SSC CHSL Exam 2025 Official Notification PDF released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is mainly for the direct recruitment to Group C posts for 3131 vacancies (*Approx) in various ministries, departments and organisations of the Indian Government. SSC CHSL Exam 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Interested and eligible applicants for the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 for the recruitment to various Group C posts in various ministries, departments and organisations of the Indian Government should fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply online.

Candidates applying for the CHSL Exam 2025 must be either a

• citizen of India (or)

• a subject of Nepal (or)

• a subject of Bhutan (or)

• a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1 Jan1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India (or)

• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Only male candidates are eligible for CHSL Exam vacancies, if any reported in the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

SSC CHSL Exam 2025: Age Limit

• Candidates interested to apply for the 3131 Group C post vacancies through the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 should be within the ages of 18 years to 27 years.

• The minimum age to apply for the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 is 18 years.

• The maximum age limit for the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 is 27 years.

• The cut-off date to determine the candidate’s age with respect to maximum age for the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 will be 1 January 2026.

Candidates should not have been born before 2 January 1999 and not later than 1 January 2008 to be eligible to apply for SSC CHSL Exam 2025.

SSC CHSL Exam 2025: Educational Qualification

Candidates interested to apply for the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 must possess minimum educational qualification as mentioned in the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 Official Notification PDF for the direct recruitment of 3131CHSL Group C vacancies in the Indian Government.

The educational qualification for the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 is as follows:

Data Entry Operator (DEO) / Data Entry Operator Grade A in Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Union Ministry of Culture & SSC: Class 12 Pass in Science Stream with Mathematics as a subject

LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade A (Except DEOs in the Union Ministry/Department):Class 12 Pass

Candidates who have appeared in the Class 12 exam can also apply for this SSC CHSL Exam 2025, however they must possess essential educational qualification on or before the cut off date, i.e. 1 January 2026.

SSC CHSL Exam 2025: Selection Process

The SSC CHSL Exam Selection Process 2025 includes two Computer-Based Exams namely:

• SSC CHSL Tier I Exam 2025

• SSC CHSL Tier II Exam 2025

The SSC CHSL Tier I Exam 2025 will be a computer-based online examination. It consists of 4 parts with objective type MCQs only. It will consist of 100 questions for 200 marks. The duration of the SSC CHSL Tier I Exam 2025 will be 60 minutes.

The SSC CHSL Tier II Exam 2025 will be conducted in two sessions: Session I and Session II. Session I will consists of Section I with Mathematical

Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, Section II with English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness and Section II with Computer Knowledge Test.

Session II will consist of Section IV with Skill Test / Typing Test. The duration of Session I will be 2 hours and 15 minutes.

SSC CHSL Exam Tier I 2025: Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing for the SSC CHSL Tier I Exam 2025 will have to make note of the changes in the SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2025 as given below:

SSC CHSL Tier I Exam 2025 will be conducted as a computer-based exam in online mode.

It will consist of 4 parts namely:

English Language (Basic Knowledge) – 25 question – 50 marks

General Intelligence – 25 Questions – 50 Marks

Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill) – 25 questions – 50 marks

General Awareness – 25 questions – 50 marks

The questions in SSC CHSL Tier I Exam 2025 will be in English, Hindi or any language opted by the candidate in the SSC CHSL application form.

SSC CHSL Exam 2025: Tier I & Tier II Exam Dates

The SSC CHSL Exam Dates 2025 for the Tier I and Tier II was announced tentatively in the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 Official Notification PDF by the Staff Selection Commission.

The SSC CHSL Tier I Exam 2025 will be conducted by the SSC in various SSC CHSL Exam Centres from 8 September 2025 until 18 September 2025.

The SSC CHSL Tier II Exam 2025 will be held tentatively on February 2026 to March 2026 once the SSC CHSL Tier I Exam Results 2025 is released by the SSC.

The SSC CHSL Exam 2025 Application Fee will be ₹ 100 that is to be paid using online mode only.

It is mentioned in the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 Official Notification PDF that candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and female candidates are exempted from paying the exam fee for the SSC CHSL Exam 2025.

Candidates are required to pay the SSC CHSL Exam 2025 Online Application Fee using online mode either by BHIM UPI/Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.

The online application fee can be paid through online mode only till 19 July 2025 (up to 11.00 PM) for the SSC CHSL Exam 2025.
