Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group C’Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/Departments/ Offices of theGovernment of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc., in different States/ Union Territories and Havaldar (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non- Ministerial post in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

SSC MTS 2025 – Age Limit

The minimum age limit to apply for the SSC MTS Recruitment 2025 is 18 years and the maximum age limit to apply for the SSC MTS Recruitment 2025 is 25 Years for the post of SSC MTS. And the maximum age is 27 years for the Post of Havaldar.

To apply for the SSC MTS Recruitment 2025 , the aspirant should have the minimum age and the maximum age as on 1^st August , 2025.

For the Post of MTS

Maximum Age – 25 Years

Minimum Age – 18 Years

i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.2000 and not later than 01.08.2007) for MTS.

SSC MTS 2025 – Educational Qualification

The eligibility criteria to apply for the posts of MTS (Non Technical) Posts and Havaldar in the SSC MTS 2025 Exam must have passed the Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized board as on or before the cutoff date. i.e 1^st August, 2025.

It is reiterated that the result of required educational qualification must have been declared by the Board by the specified date. Mere processing of the result by the Board by the crucial cut-off date does not fulfill the EQ requirement.

The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in Hindi, English

and in 13 regional languages viz.

(i) Assamese,

(vii) Manipuri (Metei or Meithei),

(viii) Marathi,

(ix) Odia (Oriya),

SSC MTS Exam 2025 – Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern for the Computer Based Test – Tier I Exam of the SSC MTS Exam 2025 will be conducted in 2 Sessions.

Session-I Duration:
Candidates will get 45 minutes to complete Session-I. After 45 minutes, Session-I will automatically close.

Session-II Commencement:
Immediately after Session-I ends, Session-II will begin.
It will also be of 45 minutes duration.
At the end of Session-II, the Computer Based Examination will conclude.

Type of Questions:
The exam will consist of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions.

Language of Questions:

• Session-I and the General Awareness section of Session-II will be available in:
  • English
  • Hindi
  • 13 regional languages (as per para 14.2).

Negative Marking Policy:

• No negative marking in Session-I.
• In Session-II, 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• Candidates should answer carefully keeping this in mind.

Normalization of Scores:

• If the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, the scores will be normalized using the formula issued by the Commission (vide Notice dated 02-06-2025).

SSC MTS Exam 2025 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST)

The Physical Efficiency Test in the SSC MTS Exam 2025 will be conducted only for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN.

Physical Test – Male Candidates

• Must walk 1600 meters in 15 minutes.

Physical Test – Female Candidates

Physical Standard Test (PST):The minimum physical standards for the

post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN are as follows:
