The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has released a new fresh press release about the last date to apply for the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) Exam 2025 on its official website on 8 September 2025. As per the TRB official latest update, eligible candidates interested to apply for the TNTET Exam 2025 can apply through online mode on the TRB official website until 5 PM on 10 September 2025.

So, officially now the last date to apply for the TNTET Exam 2025 will be 10 September 2025 until 5 PM according to Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB).

Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has recently released the TNTET Exam 2025 Official Notification PDF for the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2025 on 11 August 2025. This TNTET 2025 will be an eligibility test for the candidates interested to work as teachers from classes 1 to 8 in the government schools and government-aided schools in Tamil Nadu.

TNTET Exam 2025: Last to Apply Extended

A recent Supreme Court of India ruling reaffirmed that passing the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) is mandatory for all in-service teachers to continue in service, except those with less than five years of services left and without exception for promotions.

Following the Supreme Court of India’s ultimatum on clearing the TET Exam for in-service teachers, there was severe buzz to submit online registration application for the upcoming TNTET Exam 2025 on the last day, i.e. September 8, 2025.

Due to huge rush and numerous complaints of network issues from TNTET candidates, the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board has extended the last to apply for the TNTET Exam in 2025.

According to the latest press release from TN TRB, the last date to apply for the TNTET Exam 2025 has been extended till 10 September 2025.

Candidates who have not applied or submitted their online application can still submit their online registration application for the TNTET Exam 2025 untill 5 PM on 10 September 2025.

TNTET Exam Dates 2025 for Paper I & Paper II

The tentative exam dates for the TNTET Exam 2025 for TNTET Paper I Exam for primary teachers and TNTET Paper II Exam for upper primary teachers were officially announced in the TNTET Exam Official Notification PDF by the TN TRB.

The TNTET Paper I Exam 2025 was scheduled to be held tentatively on 1 November 2025. The TNTET Paper II Exam 2025 was scheduled to be held on 2 November 2025 as per the TNTET Exam Official Notification PDF 2025.

But the TNTET Exam Dates for 2025 were postponed followed by an official TN TRB press release regarding the change in dates for the new exam dates of TNTET Paper I Exam and TNTET Paper II Exam in 2025.

The TNTET Paper I Exam 2025 is scheduled to be held tentatively on 15 November 2025 as per the latest update released by the TN TRB.
