TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Age Limit 2026
Interested TNPSC aspirants who wish to apply for the upcoming TNPSC CTSE Diploma ITI Recruitment 2026 should know the age limits for all the Diploma ITI posts in the various departments and organisations as mentioned in the TNPSC Combined Technical Services (Diploma/ITI Level) 2026 Notification PDF.

TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Knowledge in Tamil 2026
Candidates interested to apply for TNPSC CTS (Diploma) Exam 2026 should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil as on the date of release of the TNPSC Combined Technical Services (Diploma/ITI Level) 2026 Notification PDF, i.e. 7 July 2026.
It is mentioned in the TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI 2026 Notification PDF that the candidate shall be deemed to possess an adequate knowledge of Tamil if, he/she has passed the SSLC examination (10th) or its equivalent examination / HSC / Degree, etc., with Tamil as one of the languages or studied the High School Course in Tamil medium or passed the SSLC examination (10th) or its equivalent examination in Tamil medium or passed the Second Class Language Test (Full Test) in Tamil conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).
Candidates are required to upload / produce either SSLC / HSC / Degree / PG Degree mark sheets or proof of having passed the Second-Class Language Test (Full Test) in Tamil conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, when called for by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).
Failure to produce documents in support of the possession of adequate knowledge of Tamil, shall result in the candidate being required to pass the Second-Class Language Test (Full Test) in Tamil conducted by the TNPSC, within a period of two years from the date of his / her appointment, failing which he / she shall be discharged from service.
TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Selection Process 2026
The selection process for the TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Exam 2026 will have only one or single stage of exam for the Diploma ITI posts under the Combined Technical Services: TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Written Exam 2026.
Based on the marks obtained in the TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Written Exam 2026 and subject to the rule of reservation of appointments, the list of eligible candidates will be announced for onscreen certificate verification.
After verification, eligible candidates will be admitted for physical certificate verification.
After this stage, the candidates will be allowed to participate in the TNPSC CTS ITI Diploma Counselling 2026 based on his/her TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Rank 2026.
The final selection will be made based on the total marks obtained by the candidate in the Part B and Part C of Paper I and Paper II subject of the TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Written Exam 2026 to rule of reservation of appointments.
Candidates will be allowed to participate in counselling (wherever applicable) based on his/her rank.
Appearance in Paper I and Paper II are compulsory. Candidates who have not appeared either for Paper I or Paper II of the TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Written Exam 2026 will not be considered for selection, even if they secure the minimum qualifying marks.
TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Exam Pattern 2026
The TNPSC Combined Technical Services Diploma ITI Written Exam 2026 consists of two papers: Paper I & Paper II.
Paper I consists of three parts: Part A (Tamil Eligibility Test), Part B (General Studies / GS) and Part C (Aptitude & Mental Ability).
Paper II is the Subject Paper for posts mentioned in the notification.
The Part B: General Studies section consists of 75 questions and the Part C: Aptitude and Mental Ability section consists of 25 questions and is conducted for a total of 150 marks.
Part A of the Paper I is the Tamil Eligibility Test and will consist of 100 questions conducted for 150 marks.Paper I will have a time duration of 3 hours.
Paper II will be the Subject Paper consisting of 200 questions in Diploma / ITI standard conducted for 300 marks. Paper II will have an exam duration of 3 hours.
This TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Written Exam 2026 will be conducted for a total duration of 6 hours.
The total marks of the TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI Written Exam 2026 will be conducted for a total of 450 marks for 400 questions.

It should be noted by the candidates who have applied for the TNPSC CTS Diploma ITI2026 that the Paper II, Part B and Part C of Paper I will only be evaluated if the candidate scores minimum qualifying marks of 40 per cent (60 marks) in Part A (Tamil Eligibility Test) of Paper I.
Questions in Part B and C of Paper I will be available in both English and Tamil languages.
