The Supreme Court Junior Court Assistant Recruitment 2026 is a four-staged process and candidates have to clear all the four stages to get shortlisted for selection as Junior Court Assistant in the Supreme Court of India.

The Supreme Court Junior Court Assistant 2026 Selection Process involves the following four stages:

1. Objective Type Test

2. Typing Speed Test on Computer

3. Written Test (Descriptive)

4. Interview

The objective type test will be conducted in 131 test centres across India as informed in the official notification PDF. The Typing Speed test on Computer and Written Test (Descriptive) will be conducted in Delhi/NCR.

The objective type test will consist of multiple choice questions. It will contain 100 questions from General English including Comprehension, General Aptitude, General Knowledge, Provisions relating to judiciary in the Constitution of India, Supreme Court Rules 2013, Supreme Court Officers and Servants (Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules 1961 and Computer Knowledge.

There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

It will be conducted for a time duration of 90 minutes. This will be conducted for a total of 100 marks and the minimum qualifying marks will be 50.

The objective type test as part of the Supreme Court Junior Court Assistant Recruitment 2026 will be held tentatively on 20^th November 2026. The answer keys for the objective type test will be uploaded on 22 November 2026. The objection live dates will be from 22 November 2026 to 23 November 2026 (11:55 PM).

Candidates who qualify in the objective type test based on the merit list will be called to attend the typing speed test on computer and written test (descriptive).

The typing speed test on computer will be in English language. Candidates will need a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute. Candidates will be allowed a total of 3% mistake of the total words typed. The typing speed test on computer will be held for 100 marks for a duration of 10 minutes. Candidates need to get a minimum qualifying mark of 25 marks in the typing speed test.

The Written Test (Descriptive) will be conducted in English language and will consist of comprehension passage, precis writing and essay writing. It will be conducted for a maximum of 100 marks and for a duration of 2 hours.

The answer sheets of the descriptive written test will be evaluated only if the candidates successfully qualify the typing speed test on the computer.

Candidates who clear both the typing speed test and the written test (descriptive) will attend the SCI JCA Interview 2026. The interview will be held for a maximum of 25 marks.

Supreme Court Junior Court Assistant Salary 2026

The candidates shortlisted for the selection to the post of Junior Court Assistant in the Supreme Court of India will be offered an initial basic pay of ₹35,400 plus allowances. The Junior Court Assistant in the Supreme Court of India is a Group B, Non-Gazetted post. It will be a Level 6 post in the Pay Matrix in the Supreme Court.
