IIM CAT Exam Date 2026

The IIM Common Admission Test (CAT) Exam Date 2026 is scheduled to be held on November 2026 as mentioned in the IIM CAT Information Bulletin 2026 PDF. It will be held in three session on 29 November 2026: Slot 1(8.30 AM to 10.30 AM), Slot 2(12.30 PM to 2.30 PM) and Slot 3 ((4.30 PM to 6.30 PM).

Candidates can start applying from 33 August 2026 once the link to apply for Common Admission Test (CAT) to be eligible to enter management courses in Indian Institute of Management (IIM) across India and non-IIM Institutions.

Participating IIMs in 2026 for PGP / MBA Programmes

Interested applicants can find the participating Indian Institutes of Management that accept CAT scores for their PGP/MBA and FPM/PhD programmes, along with several listed non-IIM institutions.

Separate advertisements can appear for programmes other than PGP, specific to each participating IIM. CAT 2026 scores are allowed to be used by listed non-IIM member institutions.

IIM CAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

Interested and eligible applicants for the IIM CAT 2026 for applying to PGP / MBA programmes in IIMs should fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply online for the IIM CAT Selection Process 2026.

IIM CAT Educational Qualification 2026

Candidates interested to apply for the IIM CAT 2026 must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories).

Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree / Equivalent qualification exam and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting their results can also apply for IIM CAT 2026.

However, if such candidates are selected, they will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University / Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.

IIM CAT Application Fee 2026

The IIM CAT 2026 Application Fee will have to be paid by the candidates using online mode only.

Candidates are required to pay the IIM CAT 2026 Application Fee using online mode either by Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.

Candidates need to pay the IIM CAT registration fee for 2026 only once, irrespective of the number of institutes, they are applying. SC/ST/PwBD candidates must upload a copy of their SC/ST/PwBD certificates at the time of the IIM CAT 2026 Online Registration.
