RRB ALP CBT 1 Syllabus 2025

The RRB CBT 1 Exam / First Stage CBT of the RRB ALP Exam 2025 will be a screening exam to shortlist eligible candidates for Second stage CBT / RRB CBT 2 Exam. RRB ALP Exam 2025 : Computer-based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

The RRB ALP CBAT Exam 2025 is a Computer-Based Aptitude Test designed to assess candidates' mental abilities, psychometric skills, decision-making abilities and to identify their strengths for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts in the Indian Railways. This RRB ALP CBAT Exam 2025 is qualifying in nature, meaning candidates must meet the required standard but no negative marks are deducted for wrong answers.

To qualify in this RRB ALP CBAT Exam 2025, candidates must secure a minimum of 42 marks in each of the five tests, each of which comes with a specific time limit.

The Memory Test of the RRB ALP CBAT Exam 2025 evaluates a candidate’s ability to memorise and accurately recall details. In one part of this test, candidates are shown a map featuring various buildings and are later asked to mark the locations of these buildings from memory. Another section presents a figure on the left and five options on the right; candidates must identify the figure identical to the one on the left. Additionally, a railway map with station names will be provided for study, after which candidates must recall and correctly mark the station locations during the test phase.

The Following Directions Test of the RRB ALP CBAT Exam 2025 measures a candidate’s ability to understand and follow instructions. In one type of question, candidates observe a pattern of letters and respond to changes based on given directions. Another section presents English letters arranged in a circle with numbers inside squares, where candidates must answer questions by analysing the arrangement and direction indicated at the centre of the circle.

The Depth Perception Test of the RRB ALP CBAT Exam 2025 assesses a candidate's accuracy in judging distances. In this Depth Perception Test, candidates will see a pile of bricks labelled with letters like A, B, C, etc., and will have to count how many bricks are touching the labelled ones. In another part, candidates observe a pile of blocks and must count how many blocks have all sides and corners hidden by other blocks.

The Test of Power of Observationof the RRB ALP CBAT Exam examines how quickly candidates can observe and compare information under time pressure. One part of this observation test requires candidates to compare two numbers quickly and decide if they are identical, selecting ‘Y’ for yes and ‘N’ for no. In another part, four groups of digits (A, B, C, D) are given and candidates must find the group containing the digit ‘6’. If ‘6’ appears more than once across the groups, the correct answer would be ‘E’.

The Perceptual Speed Test of the RRB ALP CBAT Exam 2025 evaluates how quickly candidates can match figures. In this test, candidates are given a figure on the left and must rapidly match it with an identical figure among five options shown on the right. The focus is on speed and accuracy in identifying the correct match.
