The KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Recruitment 2026 will have two stages for the posts under the Group A and Group B services in the Karnataka State Government:

The KPSC KAS Prelims 2026 is scheduled to be held on 15 November 2026 at various KSPC KAS Exam centres 2026 across Karnataka.
The KSPC KAS Prelims will be an objective type test. It will consist of two papers.
Candidates who clear the KPSC KAS Prelims 2026 will qualify for the KSPC KAS Mains 2026.
The KPSC KAS Mains 2026 will consist of written test and personality test/interview.
The KPSC KAS Mains Exam 2026 consists of seven papers of descriptive type. Kannada and English papers are qualifying in nature. The other five compulsory papers are Essay, GS 1, GS 2, GS 3, GS 4 and GS5.
The KPSC KAS Personality Test or Interview 2026 will be conducted for a maximum of 25 marks.
KSPC KAS Prelims Exam Pattern2026
The KPSC KAS Prelims 2026 will be an Objective type exam consisting of two papers. Each paper will carry 100 questions with each question carrying two marks.

The questions in the KPSC KAS Prelims 2026 will be in English and Kannada.
The questions in the General Mental Ability questions shall be that of X Standard / SSLC level and the remaining papers are of Degree Level. There will be negative marking in the KPSC KAS Prelims Exam 2026.
For every wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question shall be deducted as penalty, i.e. 0.25 marks will be deduced.
