RBI JE Age Limit 2026

Candidates interested to apply for the 11 RBI JE vacancies through the RBI JE Recruitment 2026 Selection Process must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have crossed the age of 30 years as on the cut-off date. Candidates must be within the ages of 20 years and 30 years as mentioned in the RBI JE Recruitment 2026 Notification.

Junior Engineer (Electrical) Experience: At least 2 years’ experience for Diploma holders or at least 1-year experience for Degree holders in execution and supervision of electrical installations in large buildings/ commercial buildings having HT/ LT substations, central AC plants, lifts, UPS, DG sets, CCTV, fire alarm system, etc., or a 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU.

RBI JE Selection Process 2026

The RBI Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026 is a two-staged selection process and candidates have to clear all the two stages to get shortlisted as a RBI Junior Engineer (Civil / Electrical) in the Reserve Bank of India branches across India.

RBI JE Online Exam 2026

RBI JE Language Proficiency Test (LPT) 2026

The selection for the RBI JE Recruitment will be through online test and language proficiency test (LPT) in 2026.

RBI JE Online Exam Pattern 2026

The RBI JE Online Exam 2026 will be an online objective test consisting of multiple choice questions (MCQs).

This online test will have 180 MCQ questions for a total of 300 marks. The total duration of this online test will be 150 minutes.

There will be four sections namely English Language, Engineering Discipline Paper I, Engineering Discipline Paper II and General Intelligence and Reasoning.

The online test will have negative marking for wrong answers. One-fourth of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the online test.

RBI JE Language Proficiency Test 2026

Candidates provisionally shortlisted from the RBI JE Online Test 2026 will have to attend the language proficiency test as part of the selection process.

This LPT will be conducted in the official / local language of the zone concerned. Candidates not proficient in the official / local language as per LPT will be disqualified. LPT will be mandatory.

The final selection for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil / Electrical) will be on the basis of candidate’s performance in the RBI JE Online Test 2026, qualifying in LPT, medical fitness and verification of certificates.

RBI JE Salary 2026

The candidates shortlisted for the post of RBI Junior Engineer will be offered a pay scale in the range of ₹29000 – 1700 (3) – 34100 – 2040 (4) – 42260 – 2720 (6) – 58580 - 2950 (2) - 64480 – 3370 (3) - 74590 – 4050 (1) - 78640.

Candidates who join the Reserve Bank of India as a Junior Engineer (Civil) / Junior Engineer (Electrical) will get a starting basic pay of ₹47,700 per month.

At present, initial RBI Junior Engineer monthly gross emoluments (without HRA) or monthly salary will be ₹91,309 per month. The HRA of 15% of pay will be paid, if accommodation is not provided by the Reserve Bank of India.
