The Punjab Court Clerk Recruitment 2026 is a two-staged process and candidates have to clear all the two stages to get shortlisted for direct recruitment as Clerk in the District Courts in the state of Punjab.

The Punjab Court Clerk 2026 Selection Process involves the following two stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

2. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

The Punjab Court Clerk CBT 2026 will be an online exam consisting of two parts - General Knowledge and English Composition.

The Punjab Court Clerk CBT 2026 will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.

Candidates who qualify the Punjab Court Clerk CBT 2026 will be called to attend the Punjab Court Clerk Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) 2026 to access the proficiency of candidates in operation of computer. This is mandatory in the recruitment selection process.

The marks of this CPT stage would not be counted in determining the final merit and is qualifying in nature.

General Knowledge section will consist of 50 questions for 50 marks and will be objective type questions. The English Composition section consists of 50 objective type questions for 20 marks and a descriptive / subjective section consisting of essay (150 words), letter writing, precis writing and Translation from Punjabi to English for a total of 30 marks.

There will be negative marking of 1/4^th mark for every wrong answer for the MCQs. English Composition will be checked only of those candidates who have secured 33 per cent or more marks in General Knowledge.

Punjab Court Clerk Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) 2026

Candidates who have qualified the Punjab Court Clerk Computer Based Test 2026 will be called to attend the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

This CPT will be qualifying in nature.

This CPT will assess the proficiency of the candidates in operation of computers, which is mandatory. This CPT will consist of two parts.
