Candidates interested to apply for the 30 ECGC Probationary Officer vacancies through the ECGC PO Recruitment Exam 2025 Selection Process must be between 21 years and 30 years as mentioned in the official notification.

ECGC PO Selection Process 2025

The ECGC PO Recruitment Exam 2025 is a two-phased selection process and candidates have to clear both the stages to get shortlisted as a ECGC Probationary Officer in the Executive Officer category in Generalist / Specialist disciplines in the ECGC Limited offices across India.

The ECGC PO Exam 2025 Selection Process involves the following two selection stages for Generalists / Specialists:

ECGC PO Online Exam 2025

ECGC PO Interview 2025

Candidates who obtain a minimum score in each test of the ECGC PO Online Exam 2025 and also a minimum total score (ECGC PO Exam Cutoff) will be shortlisted for the ECGC PO Interview 2025. Candidates who have been shortlisted through the ECGC PO Online Exam 2025 will be subsequently be called for the ECGC PO Interview 2025 to be conducted at New Delhi / Mumbai.

The ECGC PO Final Merit List will be based on the marks obtained in the ECGC PO Online Exam 2025 and ECGC PO Interview.

ECGC PO Online Exam Pattern 2025

The ECGC PO Oline exam will be a screening exam consisting of two papers: an objective MCQ test for 200 marks followed by a descriptive test for 40 marks.

The objective test will consist of 200 questions and it will be conducted for a time duration of 140 minutes. The objective test consists of sectional cut-off and sectional timing.

There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the objective MCQ test. Every wrong answer will get a negative marking of one-fourth or -0.25 marks assigned to that question.

The descriptive paper will be a test of English Language for both disciplines. It will consist of 2 sections with 40 marks in total. The time duration for this descriptive test in the ECGC PO Online Exam will be 40 minutes.
