SSC CGL Tier I Exam Syllabus 2025

SSC CGL Tier I Exam Syllabus 2025
The SSC CGL Tier II Exam is considered as the most-important part of the SSC CGL Selection Process 2025. It is the main exam and is crucial for the final selection of the eligible candidates. Candidates who clear the SSC CGL Tier I Exam 2025 will be eligible to attend the SSC CGL Tier II Exam 2025.
This SSC CGL Tier II Exam 2025 consists of two papers.
Paper I: Section I - Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning & General Intelligence, Section – II - English Language & Comprehension, General Awareness, Section III - Computer Knowledge Test
Paper II: Statistics
The SSC CGL Tier II Exam will be an objective test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Questions in Mathematical Abilities subject will be of Matriculation level. The questions in the English Language and Comprehension subject will be of 10+2 Level and the questions in Statistics will be of Graduation Level.
Paper I of the SSC CGL Tier II Exam 2025 will be compulsory for all posts.
Paper II of the SSC CGL Tier II Exam 2025 will be only for candidates who have applied for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade II in the office of Registrar General of India under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
It will be mandatory for all candidates to qualify all the sections of Paper I separately.
There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section I, Section II and Section III of Paper I of the SSC CGL Tier II Exam 2025. A negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper II of the SSC CGL Tier II Exam 2025.
Section III of the Paper I, Computer Knowledge Test, is mandatory but qualifying in nature.
The CGL Tier II Syllabus for Mathematical Abilities section will consist of 30 questions for a total of 90 marks. The topics for mathematical abilities section is given below for the Tier II Syllabus:
